Designed by John Henry Dearle in 1892, Blackthorn has been reproduced in authentic and fresh colourways drawn from the original wallpaper samples. It was Arthur Sanderson’s company that adapted the design to become a machine-printed fabric in 1975 with a mottled appearance to give the fabric a hand-printed quality.
